Your Thoughts

Messages for this page can be emailed to Michelle LaPointe. Make sure that you include "OK to post" somewhere in your message. If you want to post directly to the site, feel free to use the blog.

Dear Michelle and all of the LaPointe family,

Ever since 1961, you and your family have been and are dear friends and feel like extended family, and I am proud and grateful for that.  Only today on the last day of February did I find out about Theresa’s accident from your mom, and fortunately it was just when there were already small signs of some improvement, which gives hope and in a small way tempers how distraught those who love Theresa feel.  If any family deserves a break from a greater “Being” or “God,” it is yours.  I, like so many others, will pray for her and think of her and looking to hear signs of improvement.  Although I have not often seen Theresa, my love for the two “older” generations (including her Dad), of course, extends to her.

Never will I forget many wonderful times together with your family, especially perhaps Thanksgivings in Carmel.  I never spend Thanksgivings without thinking of you all, and how I hope and trust that there will indeed be cause for giving thanks for steady forward steps for Theresa.  She has to put her good SAT scores that Archie mentioned to good use.

I wish we were all closer so that we could talk and hug and I could say viva voce how much I care and how much my children care and how I hope but know in my heart that you will all have the strength to bring Theresa the nourishment she needs and will need for a long time for her soul and body.

With lots of love,

Mimi

There is another girl at the hospital with Theresa, who is undergoing treatment for similar injury. Eleven-year-old Amanda was also in a car accident. Over the past weeks we have gotten to know her family, and we hope and pray that she recovers soon. Please also keep Amanda in your prayers. You can see her progress at www.howisamanda.org.

Hey Theresa,

I just wanted to send you a note of prayer.  It seems not long ago that you were in my class breaking your bubble and getting to know your other classmates in crazy ways.  Last time I saw you, we were at the Grove City outlets and you were telling me that everything was going great.  You had a job and school was good.  I can't wait to hear when you can start back and continue with all the beautiful things you have to offer this world.  You'll never be far from my heart no matter where I go.

Love always,

V

I just wanted to show you how compassionate this country/world really is. I belong to an online forum that I joined about a year ago when I was researching info on our now completed Kitchen remodel. After spending MANY hours on this site I've gotten to "know", in a virtual sense, many of the other members. After learning of Theresa's accident I went  to this community, where many ups and downs of peoples lives have been shared and asked them to include Theresa in their prayers. Below is the link to the site. You'll need to scroll down until you see "Prayers needed" and that is the thread I started, with all the responses posted afterwards. I was honestly warmed by the outpouring of support and love that "strangers" can offer.

We continue to keep Theresa in our thoughts and prayers.
